My portfolio
Here are my completed assignments from my first year of interior design to my current point in the course. I also display other assignments that were relevant to my education and have shaped me to where I am now.

01
This is my first project. Here, the goal was to group all residential functions in five cubes. You were also allowed to shift surfaces, but the cube as a unit had to remain visible. Furthermore, only 1 material was allowed to be present, I chose for walnut. This way, accents of wood appear throughout my design. Finally, you were allowed to decorate it with designer furniture.
02
For my second project, we had to design a co-housing for a family of four and a retired couple. In a nutshell, a house across borders and generations. This way, it is a project, where there can be lifelong living.

03
As my first assignment in the second year, we had to furnish an Office. A workspace, where work should be done. But where you could also relax. So we created an office with a mezzanine. This way, the two sections could be separated.
04
In the second year, we were also given the opportunity to set up a restaurant in an existing building in Ghent. I selected the restaurant chain, NOBU. The Japanese atmosphere with secular influences had convinced me to build out a new concept in gent for this chef.

For the constructive part, of my education. I had to design a student unit with all the necessary functions (eating, relaxing, sleeping, storage and working) incorporated. But all functions had to be " hidden ", so I created a flexible system.
06
In my second term of the second year, we had to repurpose an old existing building in Ghent. Here we had to accommodate a brasserie, a co-working space and a meditation room. My design concept for this space was to embrace the playfulness of the surroundings.
